I’m Ruben. I created OUR DAYS LEFT because time with someone special is easy to put off when it feels endless. An estimate cannot tell us what will happen, but it can remind us to be present today: to talk, listen and spend time together. Writing offers another way to give someone our attention, even when they are no longer here.
An estimate, not a promise
The calculation uses mortality tables from the United Nations Population Division and combines both people’s survival probabilities. One full day means 16 waking hours. The result describes a statistical distribution; it cannot predict the future or tell you which days you will share.
Your words stay yours
The calculation runs in your browser. Writing stays private and is never sent to the person you write to. You can read and export your letters; relatives do not receive automatic access.
A service with clear terms
The calculation is free. Writing is free for up to two people, with one new letter every seven days per person. The annual plan adds ten people, unlimited writing, dates of your choice and one monthly reminder. Saved letters stay readable and exportable when a plan ends.
